Bishop Burns released a new decree for the Catholic Diocese of Dallas. The decree includes four phases, with each phase building on the last.
We emphasize public Masses are still suspended at this time.
This is what Phase One will mean for our parish, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish:
Confessions will resume beginning Saturday, May 9th at the Mazaika Hall door entrance. Confession time will be 8am-9am. Everyone will practice social distancing while waiting, meaning you will stand at least 6ft apart and are asked to please wear a facial mask for protection of yourself, others and Father Joseph.
Weddings & Quinceñeras: Those who have scheduled Weddings and Quinceñeras have been contacted and rescheduled.
Sacraments of Initiation that were scheduled for Easter (RCIA) have new dates to receive the sacraments. Preparations are underway and Amy Rodriguez will be contacting you for next steps.
RCIA Adult Sacraments will take place Saturday, May 23, 2020 at 2pm. Immediate family will be invited and social distancing will be enforced. This event will be LIVE on our Facebook event for all other families and friends.
RCIA Children Sacraments will take place on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 2pm. Immediate family will be invited and social distancing will be enforced. This event will be LIVE on our Facebook event for all other families and friends.
Baptisms, First Communion and Confirmation Sacrament dates will be announced at a later time.
These details are specific to St. Michael Parish and are at the discretion of our Pastor, Father Joseph.
Our Parish Office is closed to the public through May 17, 2020. Our parish staff is made available via phone and email to support you in any way. You may still drop off your donations for St. Vincent de Paul. Call the office and someone will assist you.
Father Joseph misses you all and invites you to continue to join us on Facebook for our Virtual Liturgical Events. We will have additional details in mid-May for Phase II of the Bishop's decree.
