Future Altar of Our New Church

You may have noticed a crucifix placed outside in the diamond area .The cross is a symbol of the FUTURE ALTAR OF OUR NEW CHURCH (the dwelling place of Our Lord).

A beautiful story of the placement of this cross, Tony Sanchez, a founding member of 35 years, shared...

“I dug a hole in the ground for the placement of the cross. I added some wood and bricks at the bottom to keep it firm and sturdy. I carried the cross by myself and could barely lift it, it was so heavy. When I finally was able to get the cross in the space, it sunk too deep. I had to pull the cross again and thought about how heavy it was. I refused to ask for help. I started to pray to Jesus and I asked him to help me carry His cross “this is for you Lord, a place for you, please help me.” I stood up, lifted the cross and felt overwhelmed as I felt something come over me behind my back. As if someone was helping me or lightened my load. The cross was so much lighter. I can’t explain it but I easily lifted the cross and when I set it in, it was placed perfectly in the ground. This for me, was a miracle - I’ve never experienced anything like this before."
